Travelling by bus and tram is an easy and relaxed way to get to our exhibition venue. The Rheinbahn public transport network covers 1,400 km, reaching virtually every corner of the city. It's highly likely that there's a stop just a stone's throw from where you're staying.

The central railway station and Heinrich-Heine-Allee/Wilhelm-Marx-Haus (Altstadt/Old Town) are major Düsseldorf junctions. From here, you can reach most destinations in and around the city.

Both the U78 and U79 subway tram lines and the no. 722 bus will get you to the fairgrounds. The U78 line stops at our East and North Entrances, with the U79 also stopping at the East Entrance. If you'd like to reach the North Entrance or Esprit Arena, you will need to switch to the U78 from here. At the "Messe Ost" stop, you can switch to the no. 722 bus, which stops directly in front of the administration buildings as well as at the South Entrance.

For our guests travelling by air, we run a special shuttle bus service during most of our events. The bus makes regular trips to Düsseldorf International Airport (service no. 896). For further information, please contact the Rheinbahn public transport timetable service.
 

Tickets and Fares

Good news up front: If you have already purchased an admission ticket for a trade fair, you can travel to and from the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Center free of charge on Rheinbahn and Rhine-Ruhr Regional Transport Network (VRR) routes, so there's no need to pay any additional fare. For purchasing your ticket via online shop, please have a look at "Tickets and Catalogues" of the website for your chosen fair.

For few major trade fairs like MEDICA, drupa or K your trade fair admission ticket is also valid for free of charge use of the routes of the Rhein-Sieg Regional Transport Network (VRS).

Short-journey ('Kurzstrecke') tickets are valid for up to three stops. Information on the distance you can travel with a short-journey ticket is posted at each stop. Money-saving multiple-trip ('Mehrfahrten') tickets are available for fare categories A to D. If you are travelling to an event in a small group, we recommend the attractively priced day-ticket ('Tagesticket'), which is good for up to five people and can be purchased at designated sales outlets, from ticket vending machines as well as from bus and tram drivers (except subway tram services).
