These excellent results mirror the specialist calibre of the vast GIFA visitor force. 97 percent of exhibiting companies were pleased with the high quality of the visitors. 66 percent of visitors were independent entrepreneurs or partners, managing directors, company secretaries or department heads. Most were also investment decision makers. Visitors in turn awarded GIFA 2007 top accolades.

The WFO Technical Forum, the VDG Special Shows and the Newcast Forum  provided the top-bracket techno-scientific backdrop to the GIFA trade show. A programme of theme-related events and talks gave an informed insight into casting now and in the future, development prospects and market requirements. This highly topical international platform will feature in 2011 the WFO Technical Forum spearheaded by the World Foundrymen's Organization.
