celano GmbH presents: celFcsRht

The novelty in thermodynamic models used for online control of reheating furnaces will be presented by celano GmbH at the THERMPROCES 2011. In a multiannual research project supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology celFcsRht (celano Furnance control system Reheating) was developed - a three step procedure which does not observe single elements but the whole furnance load as well as future load, thus optimizing the quality.

Through the use of parallel processing as well as an evolutionary algorithm the online compatibility can be ensured despite the complexity of the programm.

Energy savings and improvement of product quality will be achieved by this innovative furnace control system especially for frequently changing thermal properties and smaller lot sizes (e.g. different quality and dimensions) and waiting times.
