Your GMTN Team

ENERGY TRANSITION, ZERO DEFECT and RAPID PRODUCT INTRODUCTION – with proven solutions

Your partner for advice, engineering, project management and realisation

GEMCO ENGINEERS and KNIGHT WENDLING are the two competence centers that make GEMCO Cast Metal Technology. The leading independent consulting, engineering, project management and realization company for the foundry industry, with over 45 years of experience.

It is our mission to enable our customers to be successful and to realize sustainable cast metal facilities with the lowest possible carbon footprint and minimal environmental impact at the highest efficiency. Fifty professionals from HQ in the Netherlands, supported by offices in Germany, Poland, Mexico, and China, offer complete solutions for our customers.

CHANGES and CHANCES

Since GIFA 2019, we have dealt with a succession of unforeseen circumstances. Developments that have not been without consequences. Steps that we discussed four years ago as possible solutions are now inevitable and require our decisive action. Think reshoring, energy transition, flexibility, zero waste, …

We have been able to deliver great projects. Together with SCANIA we realized their NEW FOUNDRY in Sweden with a capacity of 65,000 tons of good castings per year, increased energy efficiency, reduced waste stream and CO2 neutral. Our consultants performed with and for BDG (German Foundry Association) the extensive report GUSS 2035, a study on the perspectives for the foundry industry in the years to come. Action is required!

Changed circumstances also offer opportunities, by making a virtue of necessity and investing in new manufacturing technology. Gemco is increasingly involved in project realizations to turn metal waste into valuable resources with companies in AO Netherlands, Scandinavia and Germany. We have been adept at recycling, waste sand reduction, quality improvement and sustainability for over 25 years with our own SANDCLEANER, developed with leading European foundries and designed for highly efficient sand regeneration. All sandcleaners -including Mannheim and Stadtallendorf- have recently been upgraded or expanded for increased efficiency and more capacity.

The call for an energy transition is rising, and we are closely engaged in "electrification" projects in the Benelux and Germany. Today more than ever, the making industry demands a high degree of flexibility and rapid introduction of good products. Production Technology Development is an asset to meet these requirements, and together with you, we can formulate solutions that work for you.
