For the second time in a row, steel processor Wuppermann has received the Best Managed Companies Award. On May 25, 2023, the award was presented to Kai Marwig, Head of Business Development and Communications at Wuppermann AG, in Düsseldorf by representatives of Deloitte Private, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.
The winners were determined based on application documents and interviews lasting several hours. In these, company representatives were asked about the four core areas of "Strategy," "Productivity and Innovation," "Culture and Commitment," and "Finance and Governance."
"We are delighted to have received the Best Managed Companies Award for the second year in a row. Over the past twelve months, we have worked primarily to improve our customer service. With the commissioning of our new fully automated profiling line for complex, heavy and finished profiles, we will further strengthen our position as a supplier to the photovoltaic industry," says Johannes Nonn, CEO of Wuppermann AG.
Best Managed Companies Program
"A Best Managed Company like Wuppermann is characterized by a forward-looking strategy, high productivity and a pronounced culture of innovation, as well as value-oriented corporate management. It is precisely by combining employer attractiveness with economic success that Best Managed Companies have an important beacon function in the regions," explains Dr. Christine Wolter, Partner and Head of Deloitte Private.
The Best Managed Companies program is a competition and seal of quality for successful medium-sized companies. The goal: to build a national and global ecosystem of excellently managed medium-sized companies. A key unique selling point of Best Managed Companies is its internationality: Best Managed Companies was launched by Deloitte in Canada in the 1990s and has since been successfully introduced in more than 45 countries.
