As of 2026, Dr Katarzyna Liszka has assumed the position of Executive Secretary for the World Foundry Organization.
Dr Katarzyna Liszka brings close to two decades of experience in the foundry sector, where she has consistently combined deep technical knowledge with strong capabilities in strategy and organizational management. Her long-standing collaboration with the Polish Foundrymen’s Association (STOP) began in 2005, and in 2014 she assumed the role of General Secretary. In this position, she oversees the association’s operations, including financial and personnel management, while also leading the execution of both domestic and international initiatives.
In the words of the WFO General Secretary, “There is no doubt that Katarzyna’s joining the Secretariat Team is great news; her excellent work throughout her career as our WFO representative in Poland and her passion for the people who make up our industry point to an exciting future for the team and the WFO.”
Her engagement extends well beyond the national level. For years, she has played an active role within the World Foundry Organization (WFO), representing STOP on the global stage. She contributes to key internal bodies such as the Management Working Group and, since 2025, the Strategy Group, where she helps shape long-term development priorities for the organization worldwide. Earlier, in 2018, she led the coordination of the 73rd World Foundry Congress held in Kraków, demonstrating her expertise in managing large-scale international events.
Dr Liszka is also a regular contributor to numerous organizing committees for World Foundry Congresses as well as technical and scientific conferences across national and international platforms. Through these activities, she strengthens collaboration between industry, research institutions, and public stakeholders. Additionally, she founded the “FemPower in Metalcasting – Passion and Success” initiative, a project designed to highlight the achievements of women in the Polish foundry industry and encourage a more diverse and inclusive professional landscape.
