M. Busch GmbH & Co. KG has celebrated the opening of a new logistics facility (4,800 square metres) and a state-of-the-art, fully automated brake disc production line for its customer Volvo Trucks at the company’s location in Bestwig, Germany, together with customers and suppliers as well as representatives from government, business and administration. The investment consisted of €7 million for the warehouse and infrastructure as well as €8 million for the brake disc production line.
The company had already come together to celebrate the new additions, hosting an all-staff breakfast on 19 October. Over the years, M. Busch has established itself as a strategically important supplier for the Volvo Trucks Group by supplying over 7 million blank parts for brake discs. The business relationship with Volvo was further strengthened with a 10-year contract, which includes annual delivery of more than 300,000 brake discs as well as a short-term project to supply 80,000 flywheels.
