Service contract between Primetals Tangshan and Tangshan Quanfeng extended

Chinese steelmaker Tangshan Quanfeng has signed a maintenance services contract with Primetals Tangshan Technology Services (PTTS). PTTS' service scope over the past three years included technology maintenance services for the entire thin slab caster in Tangshan, Hebei Province, China. In addition, the company provided repair services for segments and continuous casting rolls. 

Improved productivity thanks to Primetals Technologies 

Quanfeng was able to achieve higher productivity, develop additional steel grades and produce higher quality steels thanks to the quality of services provided by Primetals Technologies. Also, for this reason, the company has decided to extend the contract for another three years. PTTS will continue the maintenance of the entire thin slab caster with many experienced service experts in the field of metallurgical services.  

Primetals Technologies provides equipment 

Tangshan Quanfeng was established in 2018 and is owned by Donghua Steel, part of the larger Shuangying Group. Donghua Steel's annual capacity has over 5.5 million tons of liquid steel and produces high strength reinforcing steel for domestic and international markets. The thin slab casthouse is equipped with core equipment and process control systems from Primetals Technologies.
