Creaform, a firm based in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, has released an upgrade to its software solution: VXelements 11. The biggest change relates to the module for dimensional inspection, VXinspect, which in turn is split into two separate modules: analysis and quality control.
Both software modules have been revamped and optimised with two important phases of production quality control in mind. Analysis is an intuitive and user-friendly inspection software tool that simplifies designs and root cause analysis in the context of dimensional accuracy in manufacturing. Quality Control is a comprehensive 3D inspection software solution for advanced quality control in later phases of production.
The scan-to-CAD module for reverse engineering and additive manufacturing workflows is now compatible with Fusion 360. Users have the option to transfer CAD files directly from VXmodel to Fusion 360, simplifying their workflow.
To improve flexibility and complexity, the company says that it has improved interoperability in VXscan-RTM, the software module with a digital twin environment, and created new robot brands and models (UR10, Fanuc CRX-25i and M-10iD/8L). With VXscan-R, users also have the ability to record trajectories directly from their teach pendants with collaborative robots.
