The survey focused on the benefits that customers see in the software and how Visiometa differs from comparable software. Due to the variety of molding and casting processes, the range of casting materials and the abundance of possible casting designs, there is no globally casting-compatible geometry. Initial customer survey on Visiometa software
Last month, Visiometa GmbH conducted its first customer survey on its Visiometa software. The survey was a standardized questionnaire that was sent to well-known customers. The results of the survey reflect what Visiometa promises: a software with fast calculation times, quick results, simple operation and a good price-performance ratio.
Impressive features for customers
Customers were most impressed by the quick assessment of complex geometries, the fast calculation of the modulus analysis and the accuracy of theory to practice: the result of the calculation is close to the real casting. Other features and functions that were rated positively were networking, module analysis, geometric analysis, material database and sculpting.
The special value of the software
Most customers see the special value of Visiometa in the time saved in planning and analysis, shorter start-up times for projects, a casting-compatible design during the development phase as well as optimized scrap reduction and expansion of know-how. All this leads finally to greater transparency and better communication.
When and how often the software is used
The software is mainly used in casting design, process planning and optimization as well as in quotation calculation. Most customers stated that they use the software on a weekly basis. Most of them encountered Visiometa through recommendations, but above all through personal contact with Urs Brandenburger, Chief Engineer, and Ralf Gerke-Cantow, Managing Director of Visiometa.
A recommendation rate of 100 per cent
Visiometa's recommendation rate in the survey was 100 percent. In terms of software optimization, customers requested simplified or extended mold filling, a cyclical simulation and a manually adjustable starting temperature curve across the geometry.

High praise was given to the service and support provided by the Visiometa team, which most customers rated as 'good' or 'very good'. Within seconds and without any special prior knowledge, a Visiometa user can generate a three-dimensional image of the solidification modulus based on the geometric properties of the casting. The solidification modulus is proportional to the local solidification time and helps easily to identify the risk of shrinkage cavities.
