Wuppermann Metalltechnik GmbH (WMT), a manufacturer of pipes, tube, and sheet metal components in Altmünster, has expanded the plant with a new hall for the logistics area of sheet metal production. The new hall was put into operation at the beginning of 2023. The new hall section was planned with its own truck access to the national road to be able to optimally load and transport away the increased shipping. The packaging goods required for production can be stored safely by designing the new hall as a separate fire section while minimizing the fire risk.
With the new hall, WMT is considering the dynamic development of the plant in Altmünster and creating the spatial prerequisites for further growth in the sheet metal processing division. The year 2022 was characterized by difficult accompanying circumstances due to the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and inflation. Nevertheless, the production company was able to close the fiscal year with a good result. Demand was particularly high from customers in the alternative energy generation, service automation and equipment sectors, as well as from manufacturers of components for fully automated warehouse logistics.
"Our objective is to continue to grow here at the Altmünster site in the coming years. In the course of building the new truck exit, we therefore also created additional employee parking spaces at the same time. As a medium-sized production company, we offer our employees good prospects, career opportunities and new berufliche challenges in a social working environment with stability and family cohesion," says Georg Wildauer, Managing Director of WMT.
