Voxeljet is expanding its subsidiary in China by building a new service and office facility to meet the high demand for 3D printing in Asia.
The new voxeljet China (VXCN) facility will be located in Foho High-Tech zones of Wujiang District, Suzhou City, within thegreater Shanghai area. The laying of the foundation stone took place on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017. The completion of the new facility is projected for the end of this year, respectively the beginning of 2018.
The new facility will be the new main 3D printing service center for Asia but will also contain office space for administrative management. The new facility occupies an area of approx. 5.500 m2 while to total building area is more than 7.000 m2. Up to now, three printing systems are installed at voxeljet China.
Both material sets, sand and PMMA (plastic), are currently offered and the printing capacity will be expanded significantly over the next quarters. Tianshi Jin, Managing Director voxeljet China: “We are happy to grow - once the new facility is completed, further 3D printing systems will be installed in the service center to meet the high interest and need for on-demand part production in China.”
