From 17 to 19 September 2025, GIFA and METEC Southeast Asia will transform the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) into an international stage for foundry and metallurgical technology, placing Southeast Asia at the centre of world-class metallurgy. Together with wire and Tube Southeast Asia, Bangkok will become a hub for innovation, exchange and forward-looking ideas.
Featuring around 400 exhibitors from 30 countries, the leading trade fairs will bring together international industry leaders, decision-makers and technology providers to showcase developments and market-ready solutions in foundry, metallurgy and plant engineering. As global trade shifts, Southeast Asia is increasingly coming into focus as a stable manufacturing base and future market.
Southeast Asia is booming – now is the time to invest
With nearly 700 million inhabitants across ten ASEAN countries, Southeast Asia is one of the most populous and dynamic economic regions in the world. With a gross domestic product of nearly USD 4 trillion, ASEAN is already among the five largest economies worldwide – and growing. The new “ASEAN Strategic Plan 2026–2030” sets a clear target: fourth place in the global ranking. Strong demand for infrastructure expansion, energy supply, mobility and industrial manufacturing makes Southeast Asia a key market for foundry, metallurgy and plant technologies. GIFA and METEC SEA provide the platform to tap into this market and forge partnerships.
Inspiring technologies – tangible solutions
From state-of-the-art melting operations and energy-efficient steel plant solutions to the finest additive manufacturing: GIFA and METEC SEA 2025 will showcase the entire industrial value chain of casting, melting, steel and metal processing – innovative and practical. Visitors can expect a broad range of topics and technologies: from foundry plants, refractory technology and casting machines to pouring and feeder systems, core and sand preparation, metallic input materials, rolling mill technology as well as solutions for the post-processing of cast parts and metal products. The trade fairs present innovations for every stage of the production process. The portfolio is complemented by forward-looking environmental technology, intelligent process control and high-precision measurement and testing technology through to services for design and engineering.
Strong presence of German and European industry leaders
Over 40 international exhibitors in the German Pavilion underline Europe’s innovative strength, including major industry players such as Blue Power Casting Systems, Cunova, Ervin Germany, Eirich, FrigorTec, MAGMA, Otto Junker, Purmetall and Stein Injection Technology.
More than a trade fair: exchange and knowledge
The event will be accompanied by a high-calibre supporting programme including expert forums, networking lounges and matchmaking. Keynotes, best practices and current topics such as energy efficiency, digitalisation and sustainability will provide added value for decision-makers, buyers, plant managers, engineers and representatives from government and politics. With rising demand in the automotive, construction, infrastructure, energy and manufacturing sectors, GIFA and METEC SEA 2025 are considered an essential meeting place for everyone in the metallurgical industry.
