Dry Ice

We are pleased to help you to find your best dry ice logistics solution (dry ice delivery service or in-house dry ice production).

We are always striving to extend and improve our service in connection with CO2 and dry ice supply and have various projects with partners in several countries.

Well organised dry ice logistics optimises cleaning results and saving possibilities: the fresher the dry ice, the better and faster are the cleaning results.

If you produce the dry ice yourself, you profit from a maximum of quality and flexibility in the daily working process and remarkable cost savings. In this context ASCO offers various dry ice production machines with different production capacities.

Inhouse dry ice production will give you the following benefits:

  • Better and faster cleaning results because the fresher the dry ice, the more effective the cleaning
  • Shorter production standstills
  • Less dry ice used
  • Less dry ice loss due to sublimation
  • More flexibility as you always have freshly produced dry ice at your disposal

All these benefits lead to more quality and flexibility in the daily working process and remarkable cost savings.

Optimum dry ice logistics requires optimum storage of dry ice. ASCO offers various types of dry ice storage possibilities to minimise sublimation loss and keep the dry ice in best condition

Gentle yet efficient cleaning of moulds and tools

The ASCOJET dry ice blasting technology is especially highly recommended for gentle and effective cleaning of moulds and tools of any type and material like ingot moulds, core boxes die casting moulds etc.

Gentle:
ASCOJET dry ice blasting is virtually non-abrasive. This means that in comparison to traditional blasting methods with sand or glass beads, the cleaned surfaces are not damaged or altered. Therefore, the edges of ingots moulds (especially in closing areas), for example, will not be rounded out. Any arising of fins will therefore be avoided. Tool wear is reduced and product quality increased.

No dismantling:
ASCOJET dry ice blasting has the advantage that it can be applied directly onto the moulds/plants without disassembling. This saves you valuable time. Even hot moulds can be cleaned on-line. ASCOJET dry ice blasting has minimal effect on mould temperature allowing virtually continuous production. This way ASCOJET dry ice blasting can easily be applied regularly and integrated in the daily working process, thus supporting quality assurance and process reliability.

No secondary waste:
The blasting material, dry ice (100% CO2), turns to gas as soon as it hits the surface. Thus, there is no blasting material or chemical substances to be disposed of. On top of that, work conditions are improved because dry ice blasting does not charge the staff with additional dust contrary to sand or granular blasting.

Dry:
As this blasting system leaves a dry surface, there is no danger of corrosion or for electrical components to be damaged.

ASCO offers various dry ice blasting machines as well as dry ice production machines, dry ice boxes etc.
