VSS Gas Scrubber / Amine scrubber
Our individually adjusted and designed plants are delivered complete with extract duct, sand separator, fan and scrubber. For the cold box method, the most widely applied procedure for core-shop, we offer scrubbers to recycle and neutralise the scrubbing liquid with soda or caustic soda solution.
Catalysts are added to the moulding sand in the core box during the core making in order to achieve faster curing. To this end, mainly organic core binding agents are used as catalysts. Anorganic binding agents are only applied to a smal extent. By means of gas scrubbers, amines with quantities significantly below a concentration of 1mg/m³ may be separated in core-shop plants using the cold box method. The loaded scrubbing liquid is concentrated until a content of amine sulphate is reached which enables economic recovery of the amine or reasonable disposal of the amine sulphate.
Compact amine scrubber
Compact amine srubber are the economical solution for foundries that use only small amounts of amine or core sand. With an extraction capacity of up to 7500 m³/h and sand quantities up to 20 tons per day, these units use only a minimum amount of space and are the ideal alternative to large-scale scrubbers. With the unit´s simple design, limited to parts that are absolutley necessary, investment cost are kept to a minimum. All clean gas values can be complied with. Sand separators acting as a chemical station for fresh and spent acid as well as the automatic metering ystem can normally be omitted.
