About us

Company details

The marketing of home-produced coal and the provision of reliable supplies to its various customers have constituted the core business of RAG Verkauf since its establishment in 1953 - and will continue to do. The sale of steam coal and coking coal from RAG-operated collieries currently forms the company's main focus of activity. RAG Verkauf GmbH also supplies imported coal to the power industry in line with the sector's requirements and, in addition, provides the imported coking coal needed for the Prosper coke works in Bottrop. The company is also responsible for marketing the coke and tar/gas by-products produced at the plant.

RAG Verkauf provides a marketing service (which can also include fuel blending and transportation) to companies operating in the electricity and steel production sector, as well as to the heating market and various small consumers. The company also sells part of the minestone generated as a by-product of coal production and is involved in fuel and recyclables processing via its affiliates and subsidiaries.
