Silicates

Description: Transparent, sodium silicate based water glass binder with different levels of decay-promoting substances.

Field of use: Core shop and hand moulding.

Silicate binder with low viscosity are usually processed on core shooting machines; Silicates higher viscosity in the hand moulding.

Application: The required amounts added to the mold or core production vary depending on the sand quality and use.
Based on the sand itself silicate amounts arising from
2.1 to 4.5 wt .-%.

The hardening of the sand mixture is carried out by gassing with CO2 or esters, which are added as the crosslinking agent of the sand mixture.

Demotex A

Description: Dissolved silicon containing substances with propellant to spray on mould pattern or core boxes.

Field of use: Moulding and core shop.

Demotex A is suitable for all cold curing foundry processes especially cold-box-process.

Application: Best effect is achieved with an evenly thin coating. Shake spray can well before use. Apply the release agent on the clean pattern surface or core box.
If used properly, a multiple demoulding of mould or core is possible.
Clean nozzle for longer brakes by holding spray can overhead.

Do not spray Demotex A towards a naked flame or any incandescent material.
Solvent-vapours may form explosive mixtures with air, therefore provide for good ventilation – do not breathe vapours.

Demotex ist also available in liquid form.

Description: Thin release, silicone free agent to spray on mould pattern.

Characteristics: Demotex FT-2 is a highly refined paraffinic mineral oil.

Field of use: Moulding – green sand casting.

Demotex FT-2 is suitable for the moulding of models.
The release film is resistant to moisture.
Sand adhesion is largely avoided.

Application: Demotex FT-2 is to use undiluted in supply condition.

The release agent should be sprayed thinly and evenly on the clean pattern surface. The coat is usually done after every demoulding - by hand or automatically by spray units.

Mechanical regeneration system

Mechanical regeneration system for inorganically bonded foundry sands

The regeneration unit shown in the picture is designed for use in small foundries. The operation is carried out in batches. The output is about 400-500 tons in single shift / year. This system can be used for experimental purposes in foundries. The regeneration system may be integrated into existing sand cycles.
There are also larger units for purely mechanical cleaning of 2,000 t / a in single shift or 8000 t / a in two shifts.
Low running costs, as the sand cleaning is purely mechanical.
Besides foundry sand from inorganic Geopolymerbinders also foundry sand from other methods can be cleaned easily.

Mould Sealer K is used as surface hardener for natural and synthetic green sand molds in light and heavy metal casting.

Stainless Steel Spray

Description: Stainless Steel Spray is characterized by its good adhesion and excellent elasticity. It dries quickly and is economical. The corrosion resistance with respect to various media is very good.

Field of use: Fetting shop, core shop / moulding shop.

Stainless Steel Spray can be used to protect, repair or beautify metal objects such as rims, wheels, castings, forgings, etc. It can also be used for decoration work. Due to its cooling effect in the metal solidification, it is also used as cooling spray.

Application: Stainless Steel Spray adheres to metal, wood, paper and most plastics. With porous, absorbent surfaces, priming with an emulsion paint is recommended.
The surface must be clean and dry before coating; Oil residue and rust must be removed.
