Independently owned with multiple plant locations, MINKON design, develop and manufacture a complete range of advanced systems and probes for the analysis and process control of Molten Iron and Steel. Of particular interest on the stand will be the New MINKON ‘DynTemp’ Temperature Measurement System:

Developed jointly with our innovations partner BFI, the DynTemp is a revolutionary method for providing dynamic temperature measurement and is suitable for many molten metal applications. The DynTemp system feeds optical fibre through a gas delivery hose, which may be pre-existing such as ladle stirring lance or a bottom nozzle directly into the molten metal and the optical fibre instantly transmits the heat radiation from the melt to the remote measurement device. The system can be constantly fed to continuously measure the metal temperature during the process and allows for exacting ‘real time’ temperature control throughout the process, dramatically reducing energy usage and processing time.
