Wölfer´s inverter driven three-phase asynchronous-squirrel-cage-motors are designed to work under extreme environmental conditions. Wölfer-motors are produced according to clients spec and persuade by their robust construction, for example by steel welded housings. By a special rotor design in combination with customized windings the motors deliver a pull-out torque of up to 400 % and are able to handle overload conditions reliable. Additionally the special rotor design leads to a lower moment of inertia. By this the motor provides a higher dynamic for the applications the motors are working in.
Additionally to squirrel-cage-motors Wölfer provides also slipring-motors. Those motors are especially designed for retrofits and replacements. By using the customized slipring-motors it is possible to use the same resistors and mounting dimensions compared to the originally existing motors.
Finally Wölfer provides 1:1-drop-in-motors for technology retrofits from DC- to AC-power-supply or slipring- to squirrel-cage-technology. By this it is possible to assemble inverter-driven-squirrel-cage-motors with the same mounting dimensions compared to the motors to be replaced. This leads to shorter downtimes of the application and lower retrofit-cost.
