Nature moulding sand BF 1 is excavated around Bottrop and it is characterized by its fine granularity and its clay content.
Application:
Nature moulding sand BF 1 is used to produce molds with very fine surfaces.
Propierties:
Nature moulding sand BF 1 is moist packed as mined. Because this is an untreated natural product, it may have accumulations of silt and clay substances which should be sorted out if necessary in the application. A treatment or homogenization in the circuit of mixers or form sandslinger is recommended.

Properties:

Konfix ▪ water based coatings offer a large variety of application areas. They are combinations of refractory raw materials, rheology- and binding agents that exert their special potentials at the specific requirements of the foundries. Primarily, they are used for sand moulds and cores and usually dried in the oven.

Konsil ▪ alcohol based coatings manufactured on the basis of solvents and offer a wide variety of application areas. Combinations of refractory raw materials, rheology- and binding agents which develop their extraordinary potentials for specific requirements in foundries. Primarily, they are used for sand moulds and cores and usually dried by burning or flashing off.

Kontool ▪ die coatings have a wide variety of application areas. Combinations of refractory raw materials, rheology- and binding agents that exert their extraordinary potentials for specific requirements in the gravity die casting.

O.B.B.-Sand "E" is an oil bound moulding sand which is delivered ready to use. It cannot dry out due to its binding. Its high green strength allows contour and dimensionally accurate castings.

Application:

O.B.B.-Sand "S" is mainly used for light metal as well as art castings with thin wall thickness.

O.B.B.-Sand "E" is used mainly for nonferrous heavy metal, as well as grey iron and spheroidal iron for castings with thin and average wall thickness.

Properties:

In addition to the standard quality O.B.B.-Sand "S" or "E" the sand is also offered with higher or lower flowability.
O.B.B.-Sand can be used as facing sand and as system sand.

If it is used as facing sand, it descends into the normal mould sand circuit. When it is used as circulating sand (system sand) it can be regenerated with O.B.B.-Oil and O.B.B.-Paste.

OBB-sand "A 25" is a pure bentonite-water-bound, environmentally friendly moulding sand. It distinguishes itself from other molding sands by its much finer grain composition. Because of this fineness and its specific binding, it can be processed very well and achieved into high green compression strength, which will result in contour constancy and dimensionally accurate castings with high surface quality.

Application:

O.B.B.-Sand "A 25" is primarily used in industrial and art casting (all types of castings) are used with polished and machined surfaces. Replacing in many applications the dry mould and ceramic investment casting process.

O.B.B.-Sand "A 25" is used as circulating sand or facing sand for the partial improvement of the surfaces. The use in circulating systems with green sand is easily possible.

Properties:

OBB-sand "A 25" includes a corresponding part of lustrous carbon to achieve very smooth surfaces without rework. The quality of the sand is set, so that usual additives are not required. O.B.B. Sand "A 25" can be regenerated.

Dikaflex is a malleable, asbestos-free sealing cord from non-hardening materials of consistent quality and strength. Dikaflex sealing cords are supplied ready to use.

Application:

Dikaflex is used in the moulding and core shop, particularly in steel- and iron-foundries as well as in the non-ferrous metal casting. With Dikaflex sealing strips separating gaps of moulds and cores from all mould materials are sealed. Further applications are the sealing of chill mould or cover ladle in foundries and steel mills.

Properties:

Dikaflex does not harden. Dikaflex dried by the high temperature of the metal and the moulds, disintegrates completely and leaves no harmful residue in the sand.

Pulit is a self-hardening cold-setting adhesive on inorganic basis for gluing and sealing cores.

Application:

Pulit is a self-hardening cold-setting adhesive for gluing of core and mould parts and for sealing of moulds. In particular Pulit is suitable for gluing of core segments, core packets and repairing of broken mould and the core portions, which are manufactured in sodium silicate - (CO2) Process.

Properties:

Pulit is after hardening, compared to organic adhesives, of low gas content.

SIC chill stone for controlled directional solidification based on mullit bound silicon carbide.

Application:

SIC chill stone allow the control of a directional solidification by creating artificial end zones, through reduction of module nodes, thickening or material accumulation. Furthermore it is possible to suppress or postpone of segregation zones.
