Walking beam furnaces

In 1982, for the first time BENDOTTI applied the concept of prefabrication to walking beam furnaces. Since then, the beams and the relevant columns have been completely prefabricated at our departments. After that, they are pre-assembled onto the translation frame and onto the hearth of the furnace, before being disassembled and packaged for the final erection.

Thanks to BENDOTTI, a 120 t/h walking beam furnace can be erected in just 93 days.

Walking hearth furnaces

Thanks to the complete BENDOTTI’s prefabrication activity, walking hearth furnaces can be erected also in case of critical conditions (such as -20°C in Montreal, Canada) without the need to install any refractory lining on site, thus considerably saving time and assuring incomparable quality guarantee.

Pusher furnaces

The erection of 250 pusher furnaces for billets, blooms and thick slabs highlights BENDOTTI’s leadership, which has been achieved with the passing of time. The erection time reduces to a few weeks with the simple support of our supervisors, and the performances increasingly approach walking beam furnaces; indeed, they often represent effective alternatives.
