The quality selected for the crucible is determined by the operating conditions in foundries. MAMMUT is producing clay bonded graphite crucibles as well as carbon bonded silicon carbide crucibles for all types of heating and operating temperatures from 400° to 1500°C.
High working temperatures and high mechanical stress by charging of crucibles as well as loads of temperature changes require extraordinary demands on the properties of crucibles. Also the crucible qualities must be set to different heat generating systems. A distinction is made here between fuel-fired, electric resistance and induction heated furnace systems with temperatures up to 1500°C.
If you need help selecting the right crucible quality, our technical sales engineers will be pleased to give you advice.
Isostatically pressed Silicon Carbide Crucibles for applications with temperatures of up to 1600°C and above for mainly using in induction furnaces. For metallurgical analyses to determine chemical and physical characteristics of following materials:
aluminium-, heavy metal and ferro alloys scraps from alloyed steel, stainless steel and special alloys metal containing slag More applications:
melting of precious metals for thermal process in the field of non-metallic materials Advantages: detailed analysis of scraps based on quick heat up times due to a high thermal conductivity with low energy consumption high mechanical resistance through isostatic moulding high resistance to oxidation, low erosion easy handling strong coupling
