Diecasting dies

Manufacturing of HPDC and trimming dies are performed at SAPP facilities.
Standard components are purchased from industry leading brands and trusted suppliers.
SAPP is equipped with the most technologically advanced milling machines (6, 5, 4 and 3 axis), the latest generation EDM machines, gun drilling machines, grinders and CNC lathes.

SAPP has trusted suppliers in the heat treating industry that are compliant and qualified by steel suppliers.

All cavities are dimensionally checked, before assembling, by CMM and optical scanning.
Die spotting is achieved on our presses, the largest having table dimensions of 2500X2000 mm.
SAPP can manufacture dies with a max weight of 80 tons and dimensions of 3000X3000 mm.

Sampling Center

SAPP performs production of sample and pre-series parts with the highest level of confidentiality and respect to customer deadlines.
SAPP carries out these processes in our own automated productions cells consisting of:

- Italpresse 4200 T
- LK QDCC 1600 T

Automated cells are equipped with furnaces, vacuum systems, lubrication robots and thermo-regulation units.
Casting dimensions are thoroughly checked by means of CMM and optical scanning machines.
An X-ray cabin is also available for porosity checks on castings.

Additionally, SAPP aims to provide the highest level of service for tool maintenance activities, production of spare parts, heat treating and experienced personnel for casting start-up.

We are equipped with the most advanced technical facilities: we work and produce tooling design with CATIA, Creo, NX, exchanging data through safe channels to protect confidentiality.

SAPP thoroughly analyses all parts of the die to identify all potential problems before parts are cast.
SAPP uses MagmaSoft for determining the optimal material flow and cavity filling.
CAE software packages such as SolidWorks are used for the analysis of the die temperature and the calculation of holder block size and cycle time.
