Drawing refers to a heat treatment process in which the material in question is heated after hardening so that the structure and properties can be affected in a targeted manner in order to create optimal conditions for further processing. If the material is heated in a drawing furnace, stresses which occur inside the structure of the material during hardening or quenching and can result in rejection of the workpiece can be consistently counteracted.
The drawing furnace is therefore an important piece of equipment in thermal processing technology to prevent brittleness of a workpiece after hardening and to ensure optimal material properties.
The drawing process is used primarily for steel, lightweight metals such as aluminium, non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, bronze, brass and for alloys. However, drawing furnaces are also used in the glass industry to influence material properties in a targeted manner.
Welcome to ELIOG Industrieofenbau GmbH ELIOG Industrieofenbau GmbH has been developing and producing industrial furnaces and heat treatment systems for temperatures up to 950 °C for over 90 years. In this field ELIOG has the edge over its competitors in expertise and flexibility in development, and is well-known for its individual and application-optimised designs for industrial furnaces and heat treatment systems, as well as its wide product range.
The temperature equalisation and cooling system manufacturer Kelviplast GmbH & Co. KG added the long-established company ELIOG Industrieofenbau GmbH to the Kelviplast group with effect from 1st January 2012. The Kelviplast product range now includes industrial furnaces as well as temperature equalisation and cooling systems.
