The cupellation furnace removes all non-precious metals from samples of precious alloy to be assayed. The silicon carbide resistances give out a maximum power of 3 kW on each of the 3 resistance groups for the FCOPP/A and 4 kW for the FCOPP/B. The power on each phase is electronically controlled which avoids manual regulation and increases the life of the resistances.
The new FCOPP furnace has a stainless steel structure with insulated walls and a cooling system consisting of 3 fans that allow the flow of hot air towards the upper part of the furnace, thus facilitating suction.
The FCOPP/A version has a slightly larger muffle that allows for 6 cupels per row, instead the muffle of the FCOPP/B version allows the placement of 10 cupels per row. The door of the muffle is also equipped with an articulated quadrilateral system which allows the installation of an electric motor for automatic opening.
With this new thermal insulation, the external surface temperature in the critical points does not exceed 70-80 °C.

Melting Furnace For Ashes Assay Type FFC
The furnace is used to melt the precious ash samples in order to obtain a button containing the precious metals present in the ashes. The silicon carbide resistances give out a maximum power of 2 kW on each of the 3 resistance groups.
The power on each phase is electronically controlled which avoids manual regulation and increases the life of the resistances.
The FFC/I machine uses a medium frequency induction converter to heat the crucibles. It is fitted with a radial fume suction collector equipped with a regulation lock.
Renewed in design and performance, these units can their operating temperatures very rapidly, with consequent energy savings and optimization of work cycles
The system is supplied with a software control process:
• Change the set point temperature • Adjust time up and down the temperature • Adjustable hold time

Separation Hood
The hood, through the use of acids, is used to separate the precious metals contained in a sample of alloy in order to make a prior analysis of the material and decide the most suitable working process. This is composed of:
Polypropylene hood with stainless steel supporting frame
Two multiple assaying plants, one for HNO3 at 22 Bé and the other at 32 Bé, able to contain, in a quartz container, n°24 assays at a time.
The plants are made entirely in pirex glass and fitted with a vapour condenser, heaters and 1200 W power changer.
One 1700 W electric pit oven with changeable power, having six places for beakers. The voltage for heating acids in beakers is variable
