Löcher bogie hearth furnaces are designed to be robust and low-warpage and are fitted with excellent sealing systems. Bogie hearth furnaces are used mainly in forges and for treating premium products. The seals at the sensitive areas, bogie hearth and door, are perfectly designed to effectively separate furnace atmosphere and ambient air. A heat exchanger that uses the waste heat returns energy to the process by pre-heating the combustion air.

Löcher Industrieofen- und Apparatebau has already produced bogie hearth furnaces up to 24 m long and 7 m wide, with charge weights of up to 500 tonnes (unit weight) at 1350°C. The temperature precision offered by our furnace systems is recognised by the aerospace industry.

Löcher box furnaces are specially designed for loading with a manipulator fitted with a highly robust shaft plate. This ensures maximum protection for the furnace chamber while the furnace is being loaded. Our box furnaces are used in forges and for the heat treatment of premium products.

A hydraulic clamp presses the door against the frame in every position to provide the perfect seal at the sensitive area of the door, and separates furnace atmosphere and ambient air. The optional heat exchanger uses the waste energy to preheat the combustion air, recycling some of the waste heat. We can manufacture box furnaces for temperatures of up to 1350 °C. The temperature precision of our furnace systems meets the standards required by the aerospace industry (AMS 2750 E).

Löcher develops customised bell furnaces tailored to the needs of heat treatment firms, for example with two bases. The bell is moved with your existing indoor crane or with a frame specially designed by Löcher. Guides are fitted to the two ends of the hood to ensure precise hood movement.

We can build bell furnaces for operating temperatures of up to 1200 °C. The temperature precision of our furnace systems meets the standards required by the aerospace industry (AMS 2750 E).
