Silicate textiles are very resistant against corrosion and chemicals. They are insulating excellent electrically and remain flexible and soft to touch even after use in high temperature.
Except these excellent characteristics, silica textiles have a perfect resistance to thermal shock.
They resist to fluid Aluminium and to molten metal (steel) splashing, as well as to the direct flame impact.
Silica textiles are often used for filtration of fluid iron.
They are as well used:
- as a welding protection cloth
- as a heat and fire protection curtains
- for compensators
- for removable jackets
- as a separator in the glass industry, as they are resistant against fluid glass.
