CG Drives & Automation presents a new range of AC drives for 160-4000 kW, 230-690 V under the Emotron brand. This includes numerous new sizes for high power inverters based on the new 365 A intelligent power electronic boards (PEBBs). Thanks to their design, the power modules offer flexibility and redundancy and feature significantly improved power density, enabling a reduction of up to 30% in the final control cabinet width.
"Our PEBBs have their own integrated protection. They support and protect each other. They are also interchangeable, making them ideal for applications where continuous operation is important. The high-performance Emotron cabinet drives can be easily adjusted to the preferred performance, in either two- or three-stack PEBB cabinet configurations, providing flexibility," explains product manager Jos van den Nouwland.
The advanced Emotron variable speed drive technology has an efficiency of 98%. All Emotron FDU and VFX AC drives are equipped with air-cooled heat sinks with heat pipe technology, communication with all major fieldbuses and remote access function.
Flexibility advantage
"All Emotron AC drives are packed with technologies that protect your equipment and optimize your operation. For example, each has a load sensor function as standard. Reliability is key to our success and requires attention to detail. We make sure that even the intelligent temperature/speed control of DC-powered cabinets optimizes fan life and efficiency," says Jos van den Nouwland.
When designing cabinets for high-power frequency converters, great emphasis is placed on flexibility. Air or liquid cooling, special filters, communication and telemetry are just a few of the options used. GG Drives & Automation has more than 40 years of experience with customized solutions for frequency converters. The company is headquartered in Sweden, where most of the R&D department is also located.
"We take great pride in adding value with our in-depth application knowledge. It should be no problem to contact an expert in FU applications in your field. The most energy-efficient outcome is always based on a specialized solution that solves your unique challenge," says Jos.
