Pneumatic conveyors, core sand processing, reclamation of old sands, as well as foundry equipment are among the core business interests of Klein Anlagenbau AG from Freudenberg. Together with Klein Stoßwellentechnik GmbH, the company is present at this year’s GIFA in Düsseldorf.
With its SP-HL, the company is presenting a pneumatic conveyor that was especially developed for gentle and energy-saving transportation of foundry sands. Compared to traditional solutions, the new plant saves up to 50 percent energy. Wear of the pipelines is also minimised, and the grain structure of the quartz is maintained.
The Statormix mixer for core sands works according to the so-called double chamber mixing principle. This allows the system to achieve an excellent mixing quality in spite of short mixing times and a low transfer of energy into the core sand mixture.
With the reclamation system Clustreg, the company has demonstrated how to reclaim old sands with inorganic binding without the need for a cost-intensive thermal work step. The sand as a resource is treated gently and regenerated in a way that saves energy.
With Cerabite, the plant engineering company offers a shock wave process for cleaning castings. The process removes sand and ceramic cores, foundry coatings and chips from complex castings like engine blocks or cylinder heads. Up to 140 workpieces can be cleaned per hour. The required energy is no more than 6 kW.
The company focuses on protecting the environment and on energy efficiency. In 2022, the company was awarded the seal “Ökoprofit”, which guarantees focused actions on behalf of protecting the climate, managing resources, sustainability and improving the carbon footprint. In the spring of 2023, certification was achieved for the management standard DIN ISO 14001.
