Induction melting and thermoprocessing plants

Currently, the furnace manufacturer Otto Junker and the company Induga are focusing on the areas of energy efficiency and savings as well as the recycling process in all applications.

This year's quartet of trade fairs will show how the energy consumption of a melting furnace can be reduced with modern plant technology, charging methods and operation. This will include examples to illustrate how photovoltaic electricity can be used and the possibilities for heat recovery in furnaces. The use of induction furnaces in the recycling process will also be presented, as well as application examples in conjunction with a pyrolysis furnace for organically contaminated scrap.

In terms of thermoprocessing equipment, Otto Junker staff its booth in Düsseldorf with experts in the fields of high convection heating, gas-fired heating, electric heating, induction heating, heat recovery and recycling technology.

The areas of maintenance and modernisation of existing plants will also be covered. New developments from the research and development sector will be presented – for example, in the areas of pyrolysis and battery recycling. The power-to-heat module for generating warm air at up to 1,000 °C in order to charge an energy storage unit represents a milestone in this field.
