At high speeds, the clutch must defy special requirements, since inaccurate transmission of the rotary motion has a negative influence on the dynamics and efficiency of the system. To ensure precise transmission of the rotary motion, a high degree of concentricity is required.
In addition, clutch for high speeds must be able to withstand heavy loads resulting from high acceleration. To ensure reliable performance, it is also important to consider the spindle freedom and wear resistance of the elastomer.
Clutch for high speeds
The SP6 high-speed clutch from R+W Antriebselemente in Wörth is a state-of-the-art, high-performance solution for spindle drives and other high-speed applications.
It is made of high-strength aluminum or steel and a wear-resistant TPU elastomer, which makes it particularly resilient. Thanks to its elastomer ring, the clutch has a vibration-damping effect, but is still backlash-free. Backlash-free operation is ensured by the compressive pre-tensioning of the elastomer rim. Two precision-machined hubs with clamping cones and concave claws ensure high concentricity.
