Online platform for round-robin tests

In launching its labXplore service, Ulm-based ZwickRoell has made a cloud-based platform available for round-robin material tests. The solution promises laboratory users more flexibility, transparency and security as well as unleashing considerable savings in terms of cost and time.

Inter-laboratory (round-robin) material tests regularly present laboratories with a major challenge. Digital solutions were previously few and far between, and laboratories often had to turn to expensive external providers. In labXplore, a cloud-based solution has now been developed for companies with multiple labs. The intuitive user interface and extensive range of features are designed to make testing activities more efficient and improve the quality of assessment.

According to the manufacturer, the cloud solution promises a high level of transparency and traceability with regard to the test results as well as secure data management that is only accessible to selected members. Laboratories anywhere in the world can access test results at the same time, analyse them or share them with other laboratories. The integrated data analytics also enables users to create statistical evaluations and interactive data reports.

A three-tier licensing model will be rolled out for the solution in October, offering users specific features and permissions related to carrying out and analysing round-robin tests, which will vary based on their licence package. Users can still try out the online platform free of charge until 16 October.
