Optimised 3D printing software

The "4D_Additive" printing software is a technological bridge between computer-aided design (CAD) and additive manufacturing. Mömbris-based software company CoreTechnologie has now joined the 3MF industrial consortium, optimising the latest version of its 3D printing software "4D_Additive" for the 3MF 3D printing format. The program is now able to process the 3MF data format.

3MF is designed as an open 3D printing format and enables 3D models and production data for additive manufacturing to be shared independently with different software, hardware and service providers. It is compatible with various different platforms. According to the company, implementing the open file format in the software is an important step towards strengthening the industry standard for additive manufacturing.

The provider states that its software supports reading and writing of all widely used 3D data formats and offers automatic features for 3D nesting as well as high-precision slicing of tessellated and exact CAD B-Rep models. 4D_Additive was developed for professional use and is intended to be suitable for experts and beginners alike thanks to its user-friendly, intuitive and ergonomic interface.

The software solution aims to process, correct and optimise CAD models, in turn ensuring a seamless and automated workflow for all major 3D printing processes.
