General Kinematics celebrates 65 years of innovation
Sixty-five years ago, Al Musschoot founded General Kinematics (GK) in a small shop in Barrington, Illinois. Today, the company is a global group headquartered at a 24,340 m² facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois. General Kinematics employs more than 300 staff, brings together five brands within its corporate family and has seven branches worldwide.
Thomas Musschoot, – third-generation CEO – explains: “My grandfather founded General Kinematics with a vision to solve difficult material-handling challenges through innovation that others could not overcome. I am very proud of how far we have come since those early days in the small shop in Barrington. To our employees, customers and partners who have been part of this journey: thank you very much for your trust, your commitment and your dedication to excellence.
