Calderys launches CALDE GUARD: a state-of-the-art solution designed to improve the service life and efficiency of foundry furnaces
CALDE GUARD is a comprehensive concept comprising a combination of products – a lining based on a boron-free, quartzite dry ramming mix and a prefabricated top ring – as well as their manufacture, installation, maintenance and after-sales support. Whilst the boron-free SILICA MIX lining supports healthier manufacturing processes, the prefabricated ring is designed for the upper section of induction crucible furnaces to reduce mechanical abrasion.
Calderys supplies and installs the lining and the prefabricated upper ring at its own foundry service centre. This approach is designed to extend the service life of furnaces, whilst reducing downtime and increasing plant availability. Full control over this process ensures that Calderys can supply high-quality products for every delivery and all areas of the furnace lining.
In addition to ensuring optimum product quality by manufacturing the furnace rings in-house, Calderys offers comprehensive on-site support at the customer’s premises to achieve the best possible results.
