FOSECO’s feeder and filter data now integrated into ESIS ProCAST software

FOSECO has announced a new partnership with the ESI Group.

FOSECO’s thermophysical data for its feeding inserts and filtration products is now available in ESI’s ProCAST (& QuikCAST) software.

ProCAST provides detailed insights into the complex dynamics of the casting process. The analysis enables foundries to evaluate, validate and optimise their processes, thereby reducing their production costs.

The integration of FOSECO’s thermophysical data into ProCAST enables joint customers of FOSECO and ESI ProCAST to carry out simulation projects with greater efficiency and reliability. Applying product-specific material properties to each feeder and filter improves the accuracy of the simulated filling and solidification results.

This greater accuracy enables faster decision-making and, consequently, better design of gating and feeding systems. Furthermore, fewer simulation iterations are required to achieve optimised casting quality with maximum yield.

Whilst the project initially focused on products relevant to iron foundries in Europe, this integration has laid the groundwork for future expansions. The companies aim to further expand their geographical coverage in later phases.

Looking to the future, FOSECO and the ESI Group have set themselves the goal of providing foundries with state-of-the-art solutions that increase efficiency, optimise processes and drive innovation in the foundry industry.
