New standards in valve manufacturing
By providing two standard moulds per manipulator, Induga’s LPDC2121 low-pressure casting machine sets new standards in valve production, representing a clear advantage over existing machines in the industry.
The introduction of this feature represents significant advances in production efficiency and almost doubles the output of the predecessor model, the LPDC2121. With a shift output of approximately 550 castings and the ability to produce 2 to 4 castings per mould, this system enables the manufacturer to produce thousands of valves in a single shift. This enormous increase in production not only boosts throughput but also leads to a significant reduction in unit costs. Such cost-efficiency is crucial in the highly competitive valves industry and offers manufacturers a decisive advantage in terms of pricing and profitability. Thanks to individual parameterisation for each of the two manipulators, the machine also ensures outstanding flexibility in production, enabling precise adaptation to various requirements.
Room for innovation
The LPDC2121 Pro offers numerous innovative features that allow users to achieve optimal casting results. These include precise position-sensing technology in the hydraulic system, which enables exact movements, and Rexroth hydraulic components, which impress with their robustness and durability. The newly designed automatic charging system, combined with automatic weight detection, allows for an optimal blend of recycled and virgin material, leading to a more efficient use of resources.
Induga’s focus on plant safety and user-friendliness is further enhanced with the LPDC2121 Pro. The new core loading door improves access to the plant whilst ensuring maximum safety. In addition, accessibility and operability within the plant have been further optimised, so that necessary work can be carried out even whilst the casting process is in progress.
The induction melting and dosing furnace has been adapted to meet increased production requirements, whilst Induga retains its tried-and-tested replacement concept. Customers continue to benefit from a pre-sintered replacement furnace, which enables minimal plant downtime of around two days when changing furnaces.
